Listener email: 'Can you please raise this issue on your show; AA meetings play a huge part in keeping members sober. These have been hosted allowing for social distancing whilst also wearing masks. With the latest raft of measures (reducing indoor gatherings from 50 to 6) meetings now need to be shut down once again. I have heard of many longstanding members who returned to alcohol during the lockdown. It seems bizarre to meet that whilst weddings, restaurants and bars are allowed to operate gatherings such as AA meetings cannot.' Are you someone who struggles with addiction?
