The Mental Health Commission has warned of an 'almost total absence' of community mental health resources here. They say they found major gaps in the availability of specialist rehabilitation, outside the acute bed system in our hospitals. They also found treatments for hundreds of mental health patients are being delayed due to a 'total absence' of community support services. Do you feel there is a lack of mental health resources in your area? Ciara chats to Finola O'Callaghan, GROW Mental Health Recovery area coordinator, southern region and hears from listeners.
