Wildfires have been raging across Spain and France and we have experienced this at home with fires breaking out in Tipperary, Waterford, Kerry and Wicklow.

Not only has there been an outbreak of wildfires, but firefighters who were sent to Slievenamon were targeted by thieves. Cars, vans and jeeps parked outside the fire station were broken into on the fifth day of battling the fires. Tools they use for daily use were taken, and some of the vehicles were damaged…
