Extended nightclub & pub opening hours could be on their way post-Covid under new legislation.

Justice Minister Helen McEntee is planning on overhauling outdated licensing laws which could mean that revelers may have the option to stay out longer than the current nightclub closing time of 2.30am.

It also looks as if Sunday pub opening hours may be extended in line with the rest of the week.

The changes form part of Government's efforts to boost the hospitality sector's recovery when the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions are lifted later this year.
