More than a third of Leaving Certificate students think that English should be an optional subject.  That is according to a new survey from the Irish Independent and Studyclix.ie. 

More than half say they don’t believe studying English at Leaving Cert level has increased their love of literature.  Time remains one of the big issues for students, with 81pc saying they don't think there is enough time given to completing the two English papers.  What do you think - should English be optional for the Leaving Cert?
