Cabinet today are expecting to sign off on a number of new restrictions which will see schools and some building sites closing down as well as stricter rules for travelers flying into Ireland.
Schools were due to reopen on Monday, the 11th of January but that date has been pushed back until the end of January and many have expressed concern that it may be pushed back further due to high Covid numbers.
