Nursing homes in Ireland are effectively full, according to the national representative body for the sector. Nationally, they are running at 95% occupancy, higher in some areas.
But on top of that, they say, demand for nursing homes is expected to grow by up to 80% by 2040. Our reporter, Bairbre Holmes, has been looking into housing for older people.
