Ellis Court was Ireland’s first social housing development, welcoming its first residents in the 1880s in Benburb Street in Dublin.  Its history  is celebrated in a new exhibition, Echoes Through the Hallway, which has opened in the National Museum of Ireland, at Collins Barracks.  

Speaking to Claire this morning was Dr Eimear Rosato, Research and Policy Specialist with Tuath Housing. Also Ronnie Byrne, who grew up on Benburb Street from the 40s until the early 60s.
