Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike is in "critical condition, receiving life-saving care" at hospital. This is after surviving two lethal injection attempts, leading the state's governor to halt all executions for the year. 

But what is the drug that was used and has the lethal injection failed before? To explain to Claire was Freelance Health and Medical Journalist Danielle Barron. Also we heard from Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Cork University Hospital, and incoming President of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland, Dr Patrick Seigne.
