Allen Leech dropped into studio to have a chat with Ivan Yates. The Dublin native spoke about his new movie "In Fear" as well as his Downton Abbey character, Tom Branson.
While Allen is starring in his latest movie and is due to appear in two big features with Hollywood A-listers, however his first experience of L.A. wasn't so positive.
"On the back of Man About Dog success, I thought I'm going to give it a shot, I'm going to go to London and then I went out to L.A. which was a really rude awakening. You walk into meetings out there and they go 'So what are you doing?' 'I got a movie it was number one in Ireland!' 'Okay what figures did it do?' because that's what they are really interested in. And you say 'It did four million dollars' 'In the opening weekend?' 'No in total' and they say 'Great, that's absolutely nothing!'"
When Ivan asked about upcoming storylines in the hit TV drama 'Downton Abbey', the Killiney native revealed how little the show's actors know.
"You know what is interesting, I can say this, as an actor on the show, I know about as much as you do given the script lines. Genuinely."
