Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a woman was hit by an articulated lorry in Dublin City Centre this morning.

The 19 year old pedestrian is in a critical condition at Saint James' Hospital after the collision just before 7 o'clock.

It happened at Cork Hill, which has now been reopened to traffic.

Gardai in Pearse Street have asked that anyone who might have witnessed the incident to contact them.
