One woman has been taken to hospital following a fire on Dublin's Capel street.

The blaze took hold in an apartment above a Sushi restaurant just after 3pm today.

It required four units of the fire brigade, the ESB and Gardaí to bring it under control.

The woman sustained a minor injury to her ankle when she tried to get out of the flat when the fire took hold.
