In Wales, a woman has died after being attacked by a dog in Cardiff.

Police were called to a house in the Ely area of the city on Friday and found the 64-year-old seriously injured.

Despite efforts to save her she died shortly afterwards in hospital.

A 23-year-old man has been charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act and is due before Cardiff magistrates tomorrow.

A teenager, who was also arrested in connection with the attack, is on police bail.
