A woman and her 3-year-old son are recovering in hospital this morning, after their car was struck by a hijacked vehicle in Dublin yesterday.

The driver of the stolen car received head and leg injuries and remains in a serious condition following the incident in Donabate.

A man hijacked a Honda Jazz car from a woman at Donabate Golf Club, and then collided head-on with a Mazda Demio on Hearse Rd.

The woman who was driving the Mazda suffered massive leg injuries, while her 3-year-old son received facial cuts and chest bruising. Their injuries are described as not life-threatening.
