A woman and a man, who are both in their early twenties, have been arrested in connection with organised criminal activity in Cork city.

Gardaí arrested the woman (20) and the man (21) as part of an ongoing investigation into serious assaults and organised crime in the Cork City area.

The pair were arrested this morning in Blarney north of Cork city. They are detained in Togher and Bridewell Garda Stations in Cork City under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
