Wolf Hall leads the nominations for tonight's BAFTAs - it's up for four awards.

The series, which shows Thomas Cromwell's rise to power, is in the best drama category alongside Humans, The Last Panthers and No Offence.

Mark Rylance, who plays the lead character in the period drama, is up for best actor, but he's up against Luther’s Idris Elba for best actor.

Co-star Claire Foy is nominated for best actress alongside Sheridan Smith

Fellow co-star Damian Lewis is hopeful the show - and its director Peter Kosminsky - will be recognised.

"Peter Kosminsky has a good record at the Baftas, and Wolf Hall was loved - and brilliant, though I say it myself.

"But you never know."
 

Adele is nominated in the entertainment category for her TV special in which she sang songs from the album and talked to Graham Norton.

She who won four awards at the Brit awards earlier this year following the huge success of her third album, 25.
