The Beatles have had 71 songs chart in the US top 100, making them one of the most successful musical acts of all time. They have, however, just fallen one spot down that particularly competitive ranking.

Drake has passed The Beatles mark of top 100 singles in the United States, scoring his 72nd appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 cart with his remix of ‘Tuesday’ by rapper iLoveMakkonen, which entered the chart at no.90.

Drake is now has the eighth most Hot 100 appearances of any artist in history, sitting just one off Aretha Franklin and two behind Ray Charles.

Jay-Z is fifth on 82, while Lil Wayne is third on 122.

Elvis Presley is the highest solo artist, with 149 top 100 singles under his belt, while the cast of Glee leave all others behind with 207 top 100 singles.
