It will be dry in most areas this morning with some patches of mist or fog. Scattered showers in Munster and the eastern half of Leinster. These will continue through the day.

Connacht and Ulster will be largely dry with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees with moderate southeasterly winds, which will freshen later.

Tonight will start off mainly dry. However, rain will develop in the west early in the night and will gradually spread to all areas along with fresh to strong, gusty south to southeast winds. The rain will be heavy at times and will clear from most areas by dawn with winds veering southwesterly and easing. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees.
