There may be rain on the way but do not put away the barbecue just yet.
The famous Donegal weather-predicting postman says we are in for a good summer this year.
He says despite the blip this weekend, there is more BBQ weather on the way.
Michael Gallagher explains why he thinks we are in for a good one.
"We had cold weather in March, April and May and we had hailstones in May" he said.
"The old people always say that if you get hailstones in any time of May, that you're in for a nice summer".
"The old people never refer to it as a scorcher - I don't where this has come out of - it's just they all have said we're going to be in for a nice summer, and the old people are always right" he added.
