A remake of the Spice Girl’s video for Wannabe is taking over the internet. The video created by United Nations initiative, Global Goals, was made to promote women’s rights. It features girls from across the world dancing to the 90’s hit and showing the aims of The Global Goals project.

Global Goals refers to the Sustainable Development Goals, which are an intergovernmental set of aspirations signed by world leaders in an effort to end poverty, fix climate change and tackle inequalities. The term 'Global Goals' was introduced in an effort to communicate the Sustainable Development Goals to a wider community. There are 17 goals in total including fighting poverty and the right to a quality education.

The video calls on people across the world to share a picture using the hashtag #WhatIReallyReallyWant and declare the goal they want to achieve. The images will then be shared with world leaders at the UN in September.

 “2016 is our chance to use our collective power and tell world leaders what we really really want for girls and women. If you make the noise, we’ll get your message to world leaders at the UN in September”.

The video is being shared by many high profile people, including Posh Spice herself. Victoria Beckham shared the video to her Facebook page and said: “20 years on - Girl Power being used to empower a new generation. I’m so proud of The Global Goals”.

Emma Watson, who made headlines in 2014 for her speech supporting the HeForShe solidarity campaign for gender equality, shared her goal on twitter.
