Just a few weeks have passed since the untimely death of Prince, and still his absence is being keenly felt throughout the world.
At the age of just 57, the 'Nothing Comapres 2 U' singer and writer was found dead at the end of April, just days after suffering a medical emergency. At a private ceremony, his brother-in-law revealed that the pop star worked 154 hours straight before suddenly passing away.
Record sales of his work have soared in recent weeks and musical legends including Bruce Springsteen have sung tribute renditions of his most famous creations. And last night, the Dixie Chicks honoured the fallen artist in their own distinctively tasteful way during their London stop-off as part of their world tour.
Using the Sinéad O'Connor version as her guide, the vocal powerhouse that is lead singer Natalie Maines, invested every drop of emotion into an exceptional performance of 'Nothing Compares 2 U.'
Fast forward to 1.00 to drink it all in.
The Dixie Chicks are coming to Dublin this coming Wednesday, May 4 for one night as part of the tour.
