Serbia's Chief of State Lottery, Aleksandar Vulovic, has resigned in the midst of a corruption scandal after a ball appeared in an on screen graphic before it was actually drawn.
The incident has caused outrage in Serbia with Prime minister Aleksandar VuÄić promising to find out if there was any criminal activity involved.
"If there was any criminal activity these people will answer to the law. The path to prison is very short," VuÄić said.
Lottery boss, Vulovic, said that he resigned out of 'moral obligation' and insisted that what had happened was an honest mistake.
President of the Commission for drawing, Ljubomir Skoric, said that there was an "error of a man who entered the numbers of balls in a software program."
A full investigation is being carried out with police seizing computers and questioning employees.
