Bernie Sanders raised plenty of eyebrows when he announced that he believed it was time to remove the federal laws that made marijuana illegal, none more so than one particular student at the event where he made the announcement.
He made the announcement on Wednesday night, when most eyes were watching the GOP debate between the Republican hopefuls, but it still got plenty of attention.
Sanders addressed a crowd of students at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and announced that he would back the country as a whole going down the same road as Colorado and Washington and allowing marijuana be used for medical and recreational purposes.
One student in the crowd in particular had not expected to hear a presidential candidate say something like that, and eagle-eyed YouTube user M2 GH2 managed to spot it and made this short clip showing just how shocking an announcement it is.
