As Storm Desmond continues to do its worst to large swathes of Ireland's western counties, at least a few people are taking advantage of the remarkable weather.
Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley was standing by the banks of the Cullenagh River in Ennistymon when he noticed a stream of kayakers cresting the overflowing weirs.
More than a dozen braved the waters, all clearly happy about the money they saved not travelling to Colorado.
Of course, this video shouldn't encourage you to follow suit. All those involved are trained kayakers and well-used to such conditions.
With roads closed these lads in Ennistymon took to the river!! RESPECT!
