After conquering the small screen in the landmark series Breaking Bad, actor Bryan Cranston won a Tony Award for his role in a play about Lyndon B Johnson, the American Vice-President thrust into the Oval Office after the assassination of JFK. And now the first trailer for HBO’s TV movie of the stage play has been released.
All the Way, adapted by playwright Robert Schenkkan, is directed by Jay Roach, whose recent collaboration with Cranston on Trumbo, saw the actor receive his first Oscar nomination for playing the blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo.
Also starring in the HBO drama are Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo as the new First Lady, Lady Bird Johnson, and Anthony Mackie as Martin Luther King.
Considering that the role already bagged Cranston a Tony, expect his work in All the Way to try and live up to that title on Emmy night later this year. Check out the trailer in full below:
