Astronaut Scott Kelly is spending a year on the International Space Station, and is documenting his time on board with some fantastic pictures and videos.

Last night, as he was signing off for the evening, he shared a timelapse of a beautiful aurora as they made a pass through it. It's only a short piece of footage, but it shows the majesty of one of our world's most stunning wonders close up.
