While Virgin Media is also providing an offer of free mobile for existing Virgin Media customers for the first three months.
TV, phone and broadband provider UPC Ireland has been re-branded as Virgin Media.
Ronan McEvoy, head of mobile at Virgin Media, said: "We're shaking things up from the start by exclusively offering our existing customers free and unlimited Virgin Mobile for three whole months. It’s got everything you need in one easy-to-understand SIM Only plan, with infinite data, calls and texts".
The launch of Virgin Mobile means Virgin Media now offers digital TV, broadband, home phone, as well as mobile in Ireland.
The company has also launched its new Irish website.
Virgin Media is a part of Liberty Global plc, serving 27 million customers across 14 countries.
Liberty Global announced earlier this year it was buying TV3 for €80m.
