Apple recently released its iOS 8.3 update, introducing a whole host of new emojis for those looking to add a bit of colour to their messages.

iPhone owners can now send everything from racially diverse Santa Clauses to camels, but one group remains sorely unrepresented  - gingers.

For Irish YouTube blogger Grace O'Leary, this hit a little too close to home. So she turned on her webcam to record a 'Dear Apple' video message.

Reminding us of some of the great cultural figures who remain emoji-less, from Chuckie in the Rugrats to Conan O'Brian and Ed Sheeran, she makes a convincing point.
