A viable improvised explosive device (IED) was made safe in Dublin last night.
The army bomb disposal team arrived at the scene in Darndale at around 9.45pm last night, following a request from Gardaí.
After making an assessment, the team made the device safe.

A section of the N32 road was closed while the operation took place.
The IED was later removed to a secure military installation for further examination.
In a statement, the Defence Forces said: "Material of an evidential nature will be handed over to An Garda Síochána to assist them with their investigations".
