A police officer from Ohio has been charged with murder for shooting an unarmed black driver during a routine traffic stop.
Video captured on University of Cincinnati officer Ray Tensing's body camera shows him asking the man whether he has a driving licence.
The car then appears to start slowly rolling away, and Tensing's hand reaches out before a gun pops into view.
Local prosecutors say the shooting of Samuel DuBose (43) was 'senseless and ridiculous'.
Hamilton County prosecuting attorney, Joseph Deters, said, “this office has probably reviewed upwards of 100 police shootings, and this is the first time we’ve thought ‘this is without question a murder’.”
The officer could face life in prison if found guilty. He also faces a voluntary manslaughter charge.
