Two people have been taken to hospital following a collision involving a car and a bus in County Louth this evening.

The crash happened in Dundalk, at the St Helena junction on the Inner Relief Road around 5.20pm.

Gardaí have sealed off the scene and it will be preserved overnight.

Traffic diversions are in place via the Old Newry Road and Racecourse Road.
