Two men are being quizzed at Coolock Garda Station this morning after firearms were seized in north Dublin yesterday.

In an intelligence-led operation by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, a car was stopped and searched on Clonshaugh Avenue in Coolock.

During the search, gardaí seized two firearms and arrested the driver.

At the same time, a van was stopped on Clonshaugh Road and a second man was arrested.

The two men, aged 39 and 44, can be held for questioning for up to three days.
