Two men will appear in court in Co Kerry this afternoon charged in connection with a drug seizure yesterday.

Cannabis plants worth €37,000, a handgun, ammunition and a bullet proof vest were found during a planned raid of a house in Fenit.

During a follow-up operation, gardaí searched a house in Barrow West, Ardfert, where they also found cannabis plants and leaves worth up to €140,000.

Three people were arrested in connection with the seizures. A woman in her 20s was questioned by gardaí in Tralee, but released without charge last night. A file will be sent to the DPP.

A 29-year-old man and a man in his 30s are both due before Killorglin District Court at 2:30pm this afternoon.
