Two young men have been questioned in connection with an incident yesterday evening in which two men were attacked in Dublin.

It happened near the Luas tram stop in Tallaght at around 6.45pm.

The two men who were assaulted were taken to Tallaght Hospital, and the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Gardaí arrested two males in their late teens a short time later for questioning.

They have since been released and files are being prepared for the DPP.
