Three people have been charged with negligence following the mining disaster in Soma in Turkey.

According to a Turkish prosecutor 3 people have been remanded in custody out of the 24 people questioned today in connection with the country's worst ever mining disaster.

Mining company executives and personnel were amongst those detained.

301 workers were killed when an electrical fault triggered a fire underground in the mine last Tuesday.
