Festival-goers are being warned of potential traffic delays when they're travelling to Electric Picnic today.
Around 55,000 people are set to attend this year's event in Co Laois.
Kendrick Lamar, N.E.R.D. and Massive Attack are headlining the three-day festival at Stradbally Hall.
The general campsite opened at 9am this morning.
Those travelling to the festival at any stage today are being advised to plan ahead.
There are major road works on the two main routes to the festival, with organisers saying longer delays are expected.
Those coming from Cork are being advised that the M8 is completely closed for works between J13 Mitchelstown South and J14 Fermoy North until 8pm this evening, with diversions in place until it reopens.
Reduced speed limits are also in place on the N7/M7 from Dublin between J8 Johnstown and J11 M9.
Elaine O’Sullivan - deputy Editor of AA Roadwatch - observed: "Allow yourself plenty of time to get to the festival site.
"If you are leaving after work today, keep in mind there will also be rush hour traffic to deal with."
Anyone travelling to the festival by car is also being urged to consider car-pooling.
Portlaoise is the closest train station to the festival, and a shuttle bus will be operating between the station and Stradbally.
Bus services are also operating from various locations around the country.
