Mist and fog in many areas this morning with patches of rain and drizzle across the country. Staying rather dull for the day, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy at times in the south and east, with mist and fog lingering in parts. Later in the day sunny spells will break through locally, but for many regions it will be rather cloudy. Highest temperatures will range 14 to 19 degrees Celsius (coolest over Ulster, mildest across the south of Connacht and the north of Munster). Winds will be just light southeasterly.

Rather misty and overcast tonight, with fog thickening in parts. Outbreaks of rain or drizzle locally, particularly along eastern fringes, but overall holding dry. Continuing rather mild with light southeasterly breezes. Lowest temperatures 10 to 14 degrees Celsius - coolest over Ulster.
