Today will start cloudy and dull with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times. Drier weather will develop from the southwest later this morning and early afternoon, with a few bright or sunny spells. The north of the country is likely to stay cloudy and dull until evening with further rain at times. Highest temperatures between 12 and 15 degrees in the west and north and between 15 and 18 degrees in the east and south. Light southwest breezes will become westerly and increase moderate to fresh in the afternoon.

Tonight will start mainly dry, but showers will develop from the west again during the night and some will merge into longer spells of rain with a few heavy bursts likely. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees. Southwest winds will be moderate to fresh.
