The Tánaiste has insisted that the risk of a terror attack in Ireland remains low.
Minister Frances Fitzgerald has been speaking in the wake of attacks in Spain on Thursday.
In Barcelona, 13 people were killed and dozens injured after a car ran into pedestrians on the busy Las Ramblas yesterday afternoon.
People from at least 34 different countries were injured in the attack – including members of one Irish family.
In an attack in the town of Cambrils attack several hours later, attackers drove into people, killing one woman and injuring six more.
A shoot-out ensued, during which police killed the five suspected attackers - with one police officer killing four of the suspects.
In the wake of the latest attacks in Europe, Minister Fitzgerald has told Clare FM there's no reason to suspect that terrorists could target here.
She explained: "Ireland generally is... we're not at high risk. It's possible but not likely.
"You can never tell where a terrorist will strike - that's the reality. But there's no intelligence to suggest that we are at risk."
She added that she's been 'impressed' with the intelligence gardaí have access to:
