Any lingering rain in the northeast will clear this morning.
Most places will be dry with good sunshine early in the day; however, later in the afternoon, south-easterly winds will freshen as cloud thickens from the southwest.
Heavy or thundery rain will arrive in the southwest in the evening and will extend north-eastwards with strengthening southeast winds.
Highest temperatures of 16C to 20C.
TONIGHT
Wet and windy tonight with outbreaks of rain spreading north-eastwards across the country. It will be heavy and thundery at times and will be followed by showers later.
It will be a windy night with fresh to strong southerly winds and south-westerly gales on Atlantic coasts.
Lowest temperatures of 9C to 11C.
