Three people have been arrested following separate drug seizures in Dublin and Donegal. Gardaí from the organised crime unit seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €150,000 in Clondalkin.

It is part of an investigation targeting the sale and supply of cannabis in north Dublin.

Cannabis with an estimated street value of €60,000 was found when gardaí stopped and searched a car on the N7 in Clondalkin yesterday evening.

The man aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Later during a follow up operation, cannabis with an estimated street value of €90,000 was seized at a house in Baldoyle and a woman aged in her 20s was arrested.

Both remain in garda custody at Coolock garda station and can be detained for up to seven days. Gardaí says the investigation is ongoing.

Separately, Donegal gardaí from Milford - assisted by officers from the divisional drug unit and crime unit based in Letterkenny - searched a house at Maherwarden in Portsalon yesterday.

During the course of the search they discovered 321 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €128,000.

A man (28) was arrested and is being detained at Letterkenny garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
