Two effigies of the Russian President Vladimir Putin were among the Guy Fawkes burned during Bonfire Night celebrations in a Sussex town yesterday.
Lewes, which has become renowned for its celebrity and political effigies, played host to two outrageous depictions of the Russian premier, which were later ceremonially torched in honour of Guy Fawkes.

Alex Salmond, the former Scottish First Minister was also the subject of two of the guys, one of which was blown apart at a fireworks display.
After complaints were made to the Sussex Police, Salmond told BBC Scotland: “I think their judgment is askew, but if they think I'm a threat to the Westminster establishment like Guy Fawkes, they are right."
