A third man has been arrested in connection with the death of an Afghan immigrant in a shipping container last month.
On the 16th of August 35 people were found in a container at Tilsbury Docks in Essex. Of the group, 13 were children.
The arrested is a 47 year old man from Dungannon, Northern Ireland. Merseyside Police made the arrest at Liverpool Ferry Port. He is held on suspicion of manslaughter and facilitating illegal entry into the United Kingdom. Merseyside Police announced that the man will be transferred to Essex Police later today.
Two men, both also from Northern Ireland, have previously been charged with conspiring to facilitate illegal entry into the UK, in connection with the incident.
