US police identify man suspected of carrying out shooting at family planning centre

Detectives have identified a man suspected of opening fire at a family planning centre in the US city of Colorado Springs, killing three people including a police officer.

Robert L Dear, 57, also allegedly injured nine people during the shoot-out at the Planned Parenthood clinic.

Jihadist group Ansar Dine claims responsibility for Mali attack

Jihadist group Ansar Dine has claimed responsibility for an attack on a UN base in Mali which left two peacekeepers and a civilian contractor dead.
