Final draft of climate change agreement approved

The final draft of a climate change agreement has been approved at the United Nations talks in Paris.

A total of 195 countries have backed the deal which aims to limit the rise in global warming this century to "well below" 2C by reducing carbon emissions.

Government parties rise in latest poll

A new opinion poll shows a considerable jump in support for the Government.

In a Behaviour and Attitudes survey for tomorrow's Sunday Times, Fine Gael rise five points to 31% and Labour one point to 8%.

Man dies in Leitrim road collision

An elderly man has died following a collision in Leitrim this morning.

The pedestrian in his 80s was struck by a a four-by-four vehicle at the junction of Glebe Street and Main Street in Mohill just before 11am this morning.
