The plane carrying four of the victims of the Berkeley tragedy and their families has arrived in Dublin airport.

The Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan met with the families of Eoghan Culligan, Lorcán Miller, Niccolai Schuster and Eimear Walsh as they arrived back in Ireland from California.

Greece reveals plans to end deadlock in bailout negotiations witht he EU and IMF

Finance Minister Alexis Tsipras says he's come up with 'a mutually beneficial agreement that will give a definitive solution' and won't 'postpone' the problem.

He explained the details during a phone call this afternoon with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

Sunday’s call comes just hours before an emergency summit of euro zone leaders on Monday to try to avert a Greek default.

Woman in her 20s dies in Wexford car crash

A woman in her 20s has died following a car crash in Co Wexford which occurred in the N25 at Kilmacree, at approximately 12.25pm on Sunday.

The woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving collided with another car.

She was taken by ambulance to Wexford General Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The male driver and female passenger in the other car, both in their 50’s were seriously injured and taken to Wexford General Hospital.

Irish troops send heartfelt Father’s Day messages home to Ireland

Irish soldiers on missions abroad have sent poignant messages to their families ahead of Father’s Day tomorrow.

All personnel featured in the photos are either from the United Nations Disengagement Forces (UNDOF) in the Golan Heights, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the Resolute Support Mission, Afghanistan and KFOR in Kosovo have sent their messages home.

Reports that former owners of Clerys turned down €20m bid that would have kept store open

The new owners have controversially closed the O'Connell Street store with the loss of hundreds of jobs.

It is being claimed that the former owners of Clerys turned down a €20 million bid for the department store that would have kept it open.

Former Clerys chairman Eoin McGettigan headed up the offer for the iconic store.

But he has told The Sunday Business Post that the bid was rejected by the former owners, Gordon Brothers.
