New doubt is emerging about whether the Government will be able to deliver it on it's housing strategy.

It's reported that only two-thirds of land which is earmarked for homes in Dublin is correctly zoned.

The Sunday Independent says an email from a Department of the Environment official confirms that 30,000 units can be built on available land. But the figure being publicly cited is 46,000 homes

The Environment Minister Alan Kelly is under pressure to explain exactly what land is available, and for how many houses.

The government has been criticised for its inaction at the nationwide housing crisis, which it at its worst in the capital. The crisis is expected to worsen when home repossessions accelerate.
