One of the more unusual but popular internet memes of recent years has been 'Ryan Gosling won't eat his cereal'. For those who haven't seen one of the clips, the meme involves short clips of Gosling's performances, with the actor seemingly refusing to eat his cereal from a superimposed cereal spoon entering the frame - a simple idea that proved to have surprising comic potential. It also helped popularise Twitter's Vine service soon after it launched.

The meme was created by Scottish filmmaker Ryan McHenry, who sadly lost his two-year battle with bone cancer over the weekend, aged 27.

The SurveyMonkey CEO was exercising in Mexico

The husband of author and Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg died after hitting his head when he fell off a treadmill, it is believed.

David Goldberg, who was CEO of SurveyMonkey, was exercising in a gym at a holiday resort in Mexico when he collapsed on Friday, an official familiar with what happened told AP.

Efforts to revive Mr Goldberg, who was on holiday with family and friends, were unsuccessful.

It is not known whether Ms Sandberg, Facebook's Chief Operating Officer, was on holiday with her husband at the time.

David Quinn: Referendum Commissioner needs to add to what he has said in respect of right to marry and found a family

The director of the Iona institute spoke to Lunchtime today

David Quinn, director with the Iona Institute and Irish Independent columnist, told Lunchtime today that he would like the Referendum Commissioner to what he has said "in respect of right to marry and found a family".

During the interview with Jonathan Healy, Mr Quinn stated: "The Commissioner needs to add to that the fact that if two men get the right to marry or two women get a right to marry, they get a right to have children and what does that do to a child's right to a mother and father where possible.
