Dublin café posts CCTV footage of woman who wrote negative review

A café in north Dublin has been attracting attention online after it posted CCTV footage of a customer who left a bad review, apparently enjoying her food.

The White Moose Café says on its Facebook page: "Before you leave a negative review of the food in our White Moose Café on Facebook, may I remind you that we have CCTV cameras in our café that both capture and record footage of people horsing food into them and clearing our plates clean".

It goes on to say: "If you are not happy with your food, tell us AT THE TIME and whatever you do, DON'T F?*KING EAT IT".

Volkswagen launch website allowing Irish owners check if their car is affected by emissions scandal

Volkswagen has launched a website which enables owners of Volkswagen vehicles in Ireland to check if their cars are affected by the recent emissions scandal.

The vehicle manufacturer has launched www.campaigncheck.ie is intended as “the next step in providing which vehicles with an EA 189 diesel engine are affected”, according to a statement from Lars Himmler of Volkswagen group Ireland, which is posted on the site.

Owners of Audi, Volkswagen, Skoda and SEAT vehicles can input their vehicle's registration number to check the site to find out if their car is affected.

A Christian group is predicting the world will end - tomorrow

If you have plans for Thursday you might want to move them forward a day, because a Christian group in the United Sates is predicting the end of the world, on Wednesday.

The eBible Fellowship, an online group based in Philadelphia (it does not call itself a church), is assuring anyone who will listen that October 7, 2015 is the end of the line for Earth.

The group have previously backed claims of the end of the world, on May 21 2011, but say this time they’re on the money.

Ryanair challenges Google, as Michael O'Leary takes time to check in flyers in London

Ryanair has challenged the global search engine giant Google, to enforce greater transparency in its online advertising policies, to prevent the airline’s customers being misled into buying their flights from so-called 'screen scraper' sites.

These sites take information from the airline's website and providing it to customers on secondary sites, while charging additional fees.

According to Ryanair’s chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, websites such as eDreams are paying Google to have their ads ranked above the airline’s own site.

Gardaí release description of man after aggravated burglary in south Dublin

Gardaí investigating an aggravated burglary in Dublin on Monday are seeking the public's help.

A man entered a house in the Osprey area of Templeogue at around 11.20am yesterday morning.

A young woman who was in the house was assaulted during the incident.

The scene was preserved and technically examined, and an incident room has been set up at Terenure garda station.

House to house enquiries are also being carried out.
