Car drives through shop window in Dublin

The Fire Brigade are reminding people to always wear their seatbelts - after a car drove through a shop window in Dublin.

The incident happened in the Crumlin area of the city.

The fire brigade tweeted to say that everyone involved walked away from the accident with no injuries.

Before reminding users that "Seat belts prevent injuries".

Putin labels Turkey "accomplices of terrorists" after downing of Russian jet

The shooting down of a Russian jet by Turkey is a "stab in the back" committed by "accomplices of terrorists", Vladimir Putin has said.

The Sukhoi Su-24 was warned 10 times before being downed near the Syrian border by two Turkish F16 jets for violating the country's airspace, according to the Turkish military.

A Turkish official said two Russian planes approached the Turkish border and were warned before one of them was shot down, adding their information shows Turkish airspace was repeatedly violated.

A US official has said initial indications are that the incursion into Turkish airspace lasted a matter of seconds.

Potential fire-risk warning issued on Hotpoint, Indesit and Creda tumble dryers

Hotpoint and Indesit have issued a safety notice warning of “a potential concern” with tumble dryers, including the Creda brand, manufactured between April 2004 and September 2015.

They have said on their website that excess fluff can come into contact with the heating element on the machine which then presents a risk of fire.

Whirlpool acquired the Indesit Company, which consists of the Hotpoint brand, in 2014. They said they have been reviewing the safety of its product portfolio since the acquisition.

They took the award for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment for their 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy TV show.
